NEW SERVICE CENTER IS OPEN FOR LEADING POWERBOATS

April 1, 2001

Owners of Viking Yachts and Viking Sport Cruisers can now receive dedicated service on their craft at the company’s new state-of-the-art, southern service center in Riviera Beach, Florida. Located on the Intracoastal Waterway opposite the west side of Peanut Island, this 3.2-acre facility caters exclusively to Viking powerboat owners with a staff of 50 Viking-trained technicians.

The 19 concrete slips constructed by Bellingham Marine have room for yachts 70′ in length, and there is side-tie space for craft up to 135′. The service center’s 150-ton Travelift can accommodate yachts with up to a 23′ beam. Another reason the marina can handle these large craft is that it has bridgeless access via the deep-water Palm Beach Inlet. The marina depth remains 7′, even at its lowest level.

The center’s 3-story main building covers nearly 20,000 square feet and boasts 50′ of overhead clearance. This means even boats with tuna towers are no problem. Each of the building’s five bays spans 4,800 square feet, and three trucks are available to provide mobile service. While having warranty, refit or detail work done on their yachts, owners can visit Palm Beach Gardens or take advantage of the many amenities in the Palm Beach area that have made it popular for fishermen and yachtsmen alike.
